Hello, my name is Anik. I am a 10 year old boy in grade 2. I do above average at school. My favourite subject is Bangla.
I like caring for cattle as a hobby. When I grow up, I want to be a police officer.
My Family
I am not an orphan and currently in good health. My father, mother, sister, brother and I live in a straw hut. Neither of my parents can read or write.
My father Zisu is a rickshaw puller and he works very hard. My mother Wostomi Mardi is a homemaker taking care of the house and our family. They make about $71.50 CAD per month for us to live off of. The average salary in Bangladesh for a worker is around $311.10 CAD per month.
Everyone in my local village is poor.
